Thinking of those highlights reminds me of how good it has been. Sure there were low periods where my progress stagnated and it seemed that no matter what I did I couldn't improve, but overall I'm quite satisfied with this past year. After all, I did lower my golf handicap from 26 to 16 and I've learned a lot about myself and a lot about golf. Another benefit is that the regular exercise has helped me stay fit as I approach my mid 30s. For this coming year, and actually for the next year and a half I have some very aspiring goals. These goals are going to take (and teach) more persistence than I've needed heretofore, and also require some careful planning with milestones. As I refine these goals and layout the milestones, I will share them here on my blog over the next couple weeks. |

As I step outside my back door and see the 2 and a half foot deep snow drifts, I realize that my 2007 golf season is at an end. But what an eventful year it has been. I celebrated my first year anniversary of playing golf in March and also started an official golf handicap around the same time. I made my first eagle on a par 5 chip-in, and hit my first 300+ yard drive. I had the privilege of playing golf while on a family vacation in two other states, Michigan and South Carolina, and I broke 90 for the first time which I repeated again and again.
